Are people becoming depreciating assets?

People are not always your biggest asset,! They cost you more, worry your more, they are high maintenance so I would say more of a depreciating asset not producing value. However the right people in the right jobs are your biggest appreciating asset. The people that give you the biggest headache are 90% of the time the right people in the wrong jobs. You employed them wrong, interviewed them wrong and they sold themselves into the job. Look at sales people, particularly those that look for new business, they shouldn’t even be allowed within 100 meters of a client as they don’t have the skill to sell, yet they are there messing up your brand. They are most probably great people that fit the role of key accounts or customer care better. 

The right people in the right jobs are the people that give you the biggest return on your investment. It all hinges on JOB FIT, rather than degrees or diplomas or even experience.
